Today, the Mooney Hotel Group comprises of three hotel properties which are the Wellington Park Hotel, the Dunadry Hotel and Country Club and the Armagh City Hotel.

The Wellington Park Hotel was bought by the Mooney family in 1957. It opened for business as a 6 bedroom property with only one banqueting suite and was the only hotel in South Belfast. The Wellington Park Hotel underwent major re-development in the mid 60's and then in the late 90's, with the addition of further bedrooms and conference facilities.

It was not until 1984 that the Mooney family decided to invest in a second hotel, the Dunadry Hotel and Country Club in Templepatrick, which had originally been converted from a Linen Mill factory. Like the Wellington Park Hotel, the Dunadry also underwent major refurbishment and extension when in 1999 16 more bedrooms were added to the original 67, adding to the luxury and the ambience of the hotel.

It was not before 1998 that the Mooney Hotel Group was formed. The Group was created to set up a brand under which the Wellington Park Hotel and the Dunadry Hotel and Country Club would operate and from which there would be further expansion.

The third acquisition of the Mooney Hotel Group was the Armagh City Hotel, a brand new property ; it opened its doors to the public in March 2002 and was officially recognised as the largest hotel conference facility in Northern Ireland, capable of welcoming 1200 delegates in the main conference room.

Today, the Wellington Park is an extremely popular hotel amongst conference organisers and city breakers alike, renowned for its state-of-the-art conference and business centre as well as its trendy Arts Café lounge, chic restaurant and elegant bedrooms.

The Dunadry, for its part, remains one of the finest hotel in Northern Ireland, a trully unique place, first choice for weddings and affirming itself in the business and leisure market alike.

Thanks to its versatile facilities, the Armagh City Hotel has built a solid reputation for itself, becoming one of the finest conference facilities in Northern Ireland attracting many local and major national conference business. The Hotel is also a very popular destination for tourists, and is also a major landmark for the locals, chosing the hotel for its good food, brillant entertainment at the weekend, and its fantastic leisure facilities.

In 2004, the Mooney Hotel Group unveiled the most striking £30 million plan to be submitted by the Mooney family, which will generate 200 permanent new jobs in addition to the existing 90. Plans for a new concept in urban living, which combines hotel accommodation for visitors to Belfast and a hub of social activity for local residents, are to replace the existing Wellington Park Hotel.
